Quakenbrück in the beautiful Artland – nature, tradition and pleasurehohepforte

Apart of big city noise, Quakenbrück offers rest and relaxation in a wonderful landscape. This “Kulturschatz Artland” can be explored for example by bicycle. A very well-developed network of cycle paths leads beside several timbered farm houses, some of which invite for a break with coffee and homemade pie.
For people who prefer unusually means of transport, there is the alternative to get on the Hase by the boat downstream to the Ems, or to pedal with a bike trolley on a closed railroad track.

stsylvesterRight in front of our door the historical center of Quakenbrück starts. And it is worth it to put the head back to the neck to gaze the several half-timbered gables. A way called “Poggenpad” will take you to all important sights; among other things to our city museum also.
Those who wants to be active in their holidays will find in and around the city numerous options to let out their energy. Swimming, horseback riding, tennis….there is a wide choice. What about a round of “Swin Golf”? Especially for groups a great fun.

When the evening comes restaurants and taverns invite guests to a cozy gathering. The range extends from “good home cooking” to “exclusive”. Or you can visit one of the many pubs where you easily meet other guests and start conversation.
